From Callaway Golf: The new Hawkeye VFT driver is the "hottest, most forgiving
driver available that also conforms to USGA rules." The VFT's "Variable Face Thickness" Technology, along with its large, deep faced, 300cc head, maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for greater potential distance and forgiveness.
Personal Review
I bought my VFT used about 8 months ago and I have been happy with it so far. I used a King Cobra before I bought this and my teeshots got so bad that I sold the King Cobra and started teeing off with my 3 wood. When I decided to buy another driver I tested this one on the range and this club is long. I usually average about 250 to 260 yards with this club and I hit it all over the face of the club so it is very forgiving. When you hit the ball square in the middle of the clubface it makes the ball fly superfar. And I am using one of the softest balls made: the Precept Laddie. I have used the hard balls and they fly very far but I just dont like the feel of the harder balls. My slice has turned into sort of a poor man's fade. I also find that if you tee it up high that it helps to control the slice. I have driven one par 4 on my home course and came about 2 feet from driving another. Overall I am very satisfied with this club.
